Mr. Dvorak was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Zimmer Biomet in 2015.
Mr. Dvorak previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Zimmer Holdings, Inc. He joined Zimmer in December 2001 shortly following the spin-off from Bristol-Myers Squibb. Prior to joining Zimmer, Mr. Dvorak was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for STERIS Corporation, an Ohio-based leader in medical products sterilization and contamination prevention products and services. He practiced law with two major Ohio firms with a focus on corporate law, securities and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Dvorak received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) from Miami University (OH) and his J.D., magna cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was awarded The Order of the Coif.
Ms. Barney was appointed Senior Vice President, Global Operations and Logistics of Zimmer Biomet in xxx 2015. She has direct responsibility for sourcing, distribution, real estate and global manufacturing.
Ms. Barney previously served as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Operations for Biomet. Prior to joining Biomet in 2007, Ms. Barney served as Vice President, Worldwide Operations at DePuy, a Johnson & Johnson company. She joined Johnson & Johnson in 1992 and held various leadership roles within Operations for the company’s Codman & Shurtleff, DePuy Orthopeadics and DePuy Spine units. Ms. Barney started her career at Procter & Gamble in personal products, soap and detergent, working in both Research and Development and Operations. Ms. Barney holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts.
Ms. Beckman was appointed Senior Vice President, Strategic Quality Initiatives of Zimmer Biomet in xxx 2015. She has direct responsibility for leading the company’s strategic initiatives related to Quality Excellence.
Ms. Beckman previously served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Quality for Zimmer. She joined Zimmer in 1987 as a Project Engineer in Knee Product Development, developing products for the MG II® Total Knee System and the NexGen® Complete Knee Solution prior to leading Zimmer’s global Product Development function from 2002 to 2007. Ms. Beckman has since held positions of increasing responsibility, including serving as Senior Vice President, Global Zimmer Institute, Accelero and Market Access. Ms. Beckman has more than 25 years of medical device experience in a variety of disciplines, including strategic marketing and general management. She holds multiple patents on orthopaedic devices. Ms. Beckman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Ball State University.
Mr. Fisher was appointed Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources of Zimmer Biomet in xxx 2015. He previously served as Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources for Zimmer.
Mr. Fisher has extensive global leadership experience in human resources, including 15 years in increasingly responsible roles within General Electric. Prior to joining Zimmer, Mr. Fisher served as Vice President of Human Resources for ArvinMeritor in Detroit, Michigan, where he was responsible for all human resources for that company's global Light Vehicle Systems business. At General Electric, Mr. Fisher served as Senior Corporate Human Resources Executive for the Legal, EHS and Strategy functions at the company's Connecticut headquarters; Senior Human Resources Leader for GE Healthcare's Global Supply Chain in Wisconsin; and Senior Director of Human Resources for GE Plastics, located in Indiana. Mr. Fisher holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University, a Master of Science in Organization Development from Eastern Michigan University and an MBA in Human Resources from Indiana University.
Mr. Florin was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Zimmer Biomet in xxx 2015. He previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Biomet.
Prior to joining Biomet, Mr. Florin served as Vice President and Corporate Controller of Boston Scientific Corporation from 2001 until 2007. Prior to being appointed Corporate Controller in 2001, Mr. Florin served in financial leadership positions within Boston Scientific Corporation and its various business units. Prior to Boston Scientific, Mr. Florin worked for C.R. Bard from October 1990 through June 1995, and was employed by Deloitte from September 1986 to October 1990. Mr. Florin received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and an Executive MBA from Boston University.
Mr. Johnson was appointed Group Vice President, [name of organization] of Zimmer Biomet in xxx 2015. He has direct responsibility for the Spine, Microfixation, Bone Healing and Dental businesses for the Company.
Mr. Johnson previously served as Senior Vice President, Biomet, and President of Biomet Microfixation, Bone Healing and Spine. Before he took on this expanded role, Mr. Johnson was President of Biomet Microfixation from 2007 to 2012, and was Vice President of Global Marketing for Biomet Microfixation from 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Johnson was the Director of Global Marketing for Regeneration Technologies Inc. (now known as RTI Surgical, Inc.), where he built an internal marketing department and worked with leadership to build a direct sales force. He also worked for Biomet for five years previously, starting his career with Biomet in 1999. Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and an MBA from Jacksonville University.
Mr. Kleopfer was appointed President, Americas of Zimmer Biomet in xxx 2015. He is responsible for the Company’s sales and management of the direct and indirect sales channels in the Americas region, including the United States, Canada and Latin America.
Mr. Kleopfer previously served as President of Biomet U.S. Prior to this appointment, he served as President, Biomet Biologics from December 2005 to May 2011. Mr. Kleopfer began his career at Biomet in 1988 and has held many positions of increasing responsibility. Mr. Kleopfer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Indiana University.
Dr. Mazur-Hofsaess was appointed President, Europe, Middle East and Africa of Zimmer Biomet in xxx 2015. She is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of products in the European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) regions.
Dr. Mazur-Hofsaess previously served as President, Europe, Middle East and Africa for Zimmer. Dr. Mazur-Hofsaess joined Zimmer in February 2010 as Senior Vice President, EMEA Sales and Marketing and was appointed President, EMEA Reconstructive in February 2012. She has more than 18 years experience within the pharmaceutical, diagnostics and medical device sectors. Prior to joining Zimmer, Dr. Mazur-Hofsaess served as Vice President, Diagnostics – Europe of Abbott Laboratories from 2001. She is a qualified Medical Doctor and also holds a Ph.D. from Gdansk Medical University in Poland, as well as an MBA from the Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Minnesota.
Mr. Nolan was appointed Group Vice President, [name of organization] of Zimmer Biomet in xxx 2015. He has direct responsibility for the Sports Medicine, Extremities, Trauma, Biologics and Surgical businesses for the Company.
Mr. Nolan previously served as Senior Vice President, Sales and Advanced Solutions for Zimmer. Mr. Phipps was appointed Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Zimmer Biomet in xxx 2015. He has global responsibility for Zimmer's legal affairs and he serves as Secretary to the Board of Directors. Mr. Phipps also oversees our Government Affairs, Corporate Communication and Public Relations activities.
Mr. Phipps previously served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Zimmer. From December 2005 to May 2007, Mr. Phipps served as Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, and from September 2003 to December 2005, he served as Associate Counsel and Assistant Secretary. In his prior roles, Mr. Phipps has overseen legal affairs in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific, and has had primary responsibility for corporate governance, securities and other corporate legal matters. Prior to joining Zimmer, Mr. Phipps served as Vice President and General Counsel of L&N Sales and Marketing, Inc. in Pennsylvania, and prior to joining L&N, he practiced law with the firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Philadelphia, focusing on corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and financial transactions. Mr. Phipps received his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, with an English major from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, and his J.D. degree from Villanova University School of Law in Philadelphia.
Mr. Williamson was appointed Group Vice President, [name of organization] of Zimmer Biomet in xxx 2015. He has direct responsibility for the Knee, Hip and Bone Cement businesses for the Company.
Mr. Williamson previously served as Senior Vice President, Biomet and President, Global Reconstructive Joints. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Williamson served as Vice President and General Manager, Global Bone Cement and Biomaterials Research from September 2011 to February 2014, and Corporate Vice President, Global Biologics and Biomaterials from May 2006 to September 2011. Mr. Williamson previously served as Vice President, Business Development from December 2003 to May 2006. Mr. Williamson began his career with Biomet in July 1990 as a Product Development Engineer and has held various other positions of increasing responsibility in Product Development, Marketing and Business Development. Mr. Williamson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from Syracuse University and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Kentucky.
Mr. Yi was appointed President, Asia Pacific of Zimmer Biomet in xxx 2015. He is responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of products in the Asia Pacific region.
Mr. Yi joined Zimmer in March 2013. He previously served as the Vice President and General Manager of St. Jude Medical for Asia Pacific and Australia from 2005. Mr. Yi also spent 10 years and held several leadership positions in Boston Scientific Corporation (BSC) with his last appointment as the Vice President for BSC North Asia. Mr. Yi graduated from University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
Mr. Kunz was appointed Vice President, Global Quality, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs in January 2015. He is responsible for providing strategic and operational direction to achieve Quality and Regulatory Excellence across the organization and he chairs Zimmer’s Quality Excellence Steering Committee.
Mr. Kunz previously served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance for Zimmer’s Spine Division. Prior to joining Zimmer in 2011, Mr. Kunz served as Vice President of Quality Assurance of Ecolab, where he led a supply chain network including nine chemical plants and two equipment plants. Previously, he spent 13 years at Guidant/Boston Scientific in a variety of leadership positions, most recently as the Director of Supplier Quality Assurance for the CRV Division. He began his career at the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program Headquarters as a mechanical engineer. Mr. Kunz holds a Bachelor of Science degree as well as an MBA from the University of Minnesota. He is also a certified Nuclear Engineer and previously was a certified Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer.
